You are in the mix with so many exciting future stars like Truls, Stumper, Borgar, Lebruns etc, what skills and attributes do you have in order to reach this level?
In order to become a good player, I don t think there is one path that everybody should follow, it is or can be different for each person to become a top player which is my goal but also from which I am really far.My qualities are my abilities to learn fast and my self-questioning (after every mistake or defeat, to put my mind in a thinking state to improve what was bad and how to do it better.)
Can you give us some insight into your training methods and the amount of time you train on and off the Table in a normal week?
I am practicing everyday around 6 or 7 hours with physical. And one or two practice Saturdays and one Sundays.
You have a super exciting style along with great feeling, do you regard yourself as a hard worker or a player who has great talent?
I consider more myself of a hard worker. I don t believe that any great feeling player has ever become good without being himself a hard worker.
What are your favourite 2 drills?
At the moment I would say that my favorite exercise is free against backhand. And all the table forehand against backhand to improve my footwork.
What is the best piece of advise you have ever been given by a Coach?
The beat advice a coach gave me was to “be the leader of my project and to trust the long process”.
Finally, how do you ensure you are physically and mentally prepared for a big game or event?
I think that you can never be a 100% ready, there is always something.
